Like the backbeat that threads jazz to modern hip-hop/R&B, French cognac was brought to the US by expat musicians performing in Paris after the post-war era. In our short film, we followed BJ the Chicago Kid before a performance at the legendary club Caveau de la Huchette, tracing his musical relationship to post-war jazz alongside the history of Hennessy.
